TEMPE, Arizona – July 17, 2018 – Life365 Inc. announces the addition of a new member to its board of directors, as well as the complete list of their board of directors and board observers.
Joining Life365’s board of directors is Jan Stern Reed, former senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. Reed will serve as a common director for the board.
Reed joined Walgreen Co. in 2013 as corporate vice president and deputy general counsel, and went on to serve as general counsel for Walgreen Co. in 2014. In addition to her position with Walgreen Co., she assumed the additional role as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc., which was created after the merger of Walgreen Co. and Alliance Boots GmbH in 2015. Prior to Walgreens, Reed served as executive vice president, human resources, general counsel and corporate secretary at Solo Cup Company and associate general counsel, corporate secretary and chief governance officer at Baxter International. She currently serves on the boards of Angiodynamics (NASDAQ:ANGO), a medical device manufacturer, and Stepan Co. (NYSE: SCL), a specialty chemical company.
Reed joins Life365’s three existing board of directors; Kent Dicks, Larry Heitz and Thomas Kelly.
Kent Dicks is CEO and Founder of Life365 and serves as chairman of the board. He is a serial entrepreneur, and notably, was the founder of MedApps, a remote health monitoring solution provider that was acquired by rapid diagnostic manufacturer Alere Inc. in 2012.
Larry Heitz serves on the board as the seed preferred director and brings extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions as well as manufacturing. Heitz has founded and owned several manufacturing businesses throughout the world, and has performed in-depth analysis on over 100 companies for potential acquisitions. He also holds positions on the boards of several other companies in the tech and manufacturing industries, and has investments in the medical software and device industry as well as various real estate funds.
Thomas Kelly has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare administration and finance and serves on the Life365 board as a common director. He has held various leadership roles at large health plans and health systems throughout his career, including president and CEO of Aetna Medicaid Administrators LLC, executive vice president and chief financial officer of DaVita Inc., president and CEO of Mercy Health Plans, officer and president of Westport Healthcare Management Inc., and national health care director for KPMG.
Observers on the board of directors include Robert Anciaux, an international investor; Jay Ennesser, former VP of enterprise sales at IBM; as well as Geoff Ossias and Griffin McCloskey, partner and associate at Perkins Coie LLP, respectively.
